La mobilité des Artistes en Europe – les échanges Est-Ouest

Les réseaux de partenaires Aerowaves et Life Long Burning sont des projets de coopération qui participent au développement du champ chorégraphique européen. Avec 44 partenaires de 33 pays en Europe, Aerowaves diffuse un panel de jeunes créations en danse ce qui donne à voir différentes esthétiques, dynamiques et contextes, quels que soient leurs moyens de production.
Soutenu par le programme Europe Créative de l’U.E, Life Long Burning favorise la circulation des artistes et participe à la structuration territoriale. Le réseau coproduit des artistes en sortie de formation. L'accueil en résidence développe les échanges artistiques et culturels entre pays européens.
La guerre en Ukraine n'a pas été sans incidence pour ces réseaux ; elle a produit un afflux de candidatures d’artistes ukrainiens, mais a aussi ouvert un débat quant à l'accueil des artistes russes. Aerowaves, qui a pris la décision de programmer uniquement des artistes russes et biélorusses exilés, s'est adapté à la situation tendue pour maintenir le dialogue en prenant en compte le vécu de chacun et les effets de la guerre sur ceux qui l'on côtoyée.
Dans le contexte où la guerre peut durer et continue d’engendrer des traumatismes, les projets européens doivent se mobiliser sur le long terme en commençant par restaurer un climat de confiance au sein des réseaux de partenaires de l’Est à l’Ouest de l’Europe. Ils entendent poursuivre leurs efforts pour maintenir des espaces d'échanges ouverts.
dansePlatForma partage corrélativement la nécessité de se rendre utile face au contexte. De son action culturelle découle une volonté de continuité afin de fournir une visibilité aux artistes d’Europe de l’Est.

À l’annonce de l’invasion de la Russie en Ukraine, les artistes se sont retrouvés face à une sorte de distorsion de la réalité paralysante.
En donnant à voir au public des témoignages issus d’images prises sur le vif en Ukraine et postés sur les réseaux sociaux ou en récoltant et chorégraphiant les souvenirs auprès des réfugiés qui ont subi un traumatisme, raconter devient un effort de guerre pour les artistes ukrainiens.
Pris en étaux entre les lois restrictives en Russie et la cancel culture dans le reste de l’Europe de l’Ouest, les artistes russes s’interrogent sur l’avenir qui leur est réservé. Anxieux d’être coupés du reste du monde, les danseurs ayant fait le choix de quitter leur pays se retrouvent en difficulté pour vivre de leur projet artistique.
Les artistes frontaliers au conflit sont dans la démarche de stopper l’engrenage de la guerre par l’aide et l’accueil.
Sujets à l’exposition, se souder et maintenir le dialogue entre artistes apparait primordial. Les propositions artistiques et rencontres permises par dansePlatForma#23 s’inscrivent dans ce dessein.
Au de-là de la nationalité et des limites historiques que nous posent les conflits, les artistes ont démontré l’importance d’ouvrir des perspectives de coopérations.

The Aerowaves and Life Long Burning partner networks are cooperation projects that contribute to the development of the European choreographic field. With 44 partners from 33 countries in Europe, Aerowaves disseminates a range of young dance creations that showcase different aesthetics, dynamics and contexts, regardless of their means of production.
Supported by the EU's Creative Europe programme, Life Long Burning promotes the circulation of artists and participates in territorial structuring. The network co-produces artists coming out of training. The residencies develop artistic and cultural exchanges between European countries.
The war in Ukraine has not been without impact on these networks; it has produced an influx of applications from Ukrainian artists, but has also opened up a debate on the reception of Russian artists. Aerowaves, which decided to programme only exiled Russian and Belarusian artists, has adapted to the tense situation to maintain dialogue by taking into account the experiences of each and the effects of the war on those who have lived through it.
In the context where the war can last and continues to cause trauma, European projects must mobilise for the long term by starting to restore a climate of trust within the networks of partners from the East to the West of Europe. They intend to continue their efforts to maintain open spaces for exchange.
dansePlatForma also shares the need to make itself useful in the context. From its cultural action stems a desire for continuity in order to provide visibility to Eastern European artists.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, artists were faced with a kind of paralysing distortion of reality.
By giving the audience testimonies from live images taken in Ukraine and posted on social networks or by collecting and choreographing memories from refugees who have suffered trauma, telling becomes a war effort for Ukrainian artists.
Caught between restrictive laws in Russia and cancel culture in the rest of Western Europe, Russian artists wonder about their future. Anxious to be cut off from the rest of the world, dancers who have chosen to leave their country find themselves in difficulty in making a living from their artistic project.
Artists on the border of the conflict are trying to stop the spiral of war by offering help and hospitality.
As subjects of the exhibition, it is essential to maintain a dialogue between artists. The artistic proposals and encounters made possible by dansePlatForma#23 are in line with this aim.
Beyond nationality and the historical limits posed by conflicts, the artists have demonstrated the importance of opening up perspectives for cooperation.
